Question and Answer Time

What historical figure do you most identify with and why?

I identify with Sacajawea. Her strength of character is inspiring, as was her ability to adapt to different environments and to find a way to fit into any situation, but to still be herself. She endured extreme hardship many times in her life, but persevered.

Which word or phrase do you think is overused right now?

Ummm, like, blah, blah, blah…Like…Like…like…Yeah, like.

How would you explain your profession to a child?

I take care of things in an office. I design ads and marketing packages. I do almost all of the IT work in the office. I arrange for new technology (like a new phone system, being installed on April 1st.). Basically I support everyone in the office as well as the office itself. I do everything except sell the hotels.

What did you have to learn the hard way?

To set boundaries, to learn to love myself and to feel like it is okay to take care of myself.

What do you sing or hum when you’re alone?

Usually whatever I heard last on the radio.

What talent would you most like to have?

Singing. I’ve always wanted to be a good singer.

What movie character would you like to portray and why?

Jo, in Little Women. I think she is funny, and independent and very creative.

Is there a book that changed your perspective on life?

The Search for Significance by Robert S. McGee.

What’s the best reward for a job well done?

Personal satisfaction. Although, it is nice to be acknowledged with good pay and reasonable, timely raises.

What is your personal motto?

“It is more blessed to give, than to receive.”

  1. You remind me very much of Jo from Little Women. You have so very many talents that I admire. And I appreciate the giving spirit you have. You bless everyone who knows you — except that little old lady that ran into you and then took off. She probably doesn’t feel blessed. 🙂
